Nebula Cargo LLC ("Nebula Cargo", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly: name, company name, MC or USDOT number, mailing address, email address, phone and mobile number, and documents you send us such as certificates of insurance, W-9 forms and proof of delivery. We also collect basic technical data from our website, such as IP address and browser type.
2. How we use information
To arrange and coordinate freight shipments, onboard and verify carriers, issue rate confirmations, process payments, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and communicate with you about active loads.
3. SMS and text messaging
We operate an SMS program for carriers, shippers and drivers who have asked to receive load and dispatch communication by text message. Mobile numbers are collected through our opt-in page at nebulacargo.com/opt-in.html and through our carrier onboarding packet.
SMS opt-in or phone numbers for the purpose of SMS are not being shared with any third party and affiliate company for marketing purposes. All other categories of data sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile numbers are disclosed only to our SMS service provider for the sole purpose of delivering the messages you requested. Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages per week. 4. Sharing of other information
We share information only as needed to do business: with carriers and shippers involved in a specific shipment, with our insurance broker, factoring company, accountant and attorney, and with government agencies when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep records for as long as the business relationship is active and afterward as required by federal recordkeeping rules for brokers and by tax law. Mobile numbers are removed from the SMS program as soon as you opt out.
6. Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to personnel who need it to perform their work.
7. Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete your information, unsubscribe from text messages by replying STOP, or stop receiving email from us at any time. Requests go to info@nebulacargo.com.
8. Children
Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The revision date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
